Accounting
MahirRMS carries a full double-entry ledger underneath the restaurant: every sale, purchase, payment and adjustment posts real accounting entries, automatically. Your accountant works in the same system as your cashiers — no export, no re-entry, no month of catching up.
How this section is organized
- Introduction — how the ledger thinks: what posts automatically, how restaurant transactions affect the ledger, and a plain-language debit and credit primer for non-accountants.
- Accounting Setup — the chart of accounts, financial year, banks and payment methods, taxes, cost centres and opening balances.
- Vouchers & Journals — the manual entry types, approval chains, and journal entries done well.
- Banking & Payments — receiving and making payments, post-dated cheques, and bank reconciliation.
- Advanced Ledger Features — the four features that reshape how the ledger scales: contact and staff sub-ledgers, tender clearing, and the branch dimension.
- Reports & Period Close — the financial reports, and the daily-to-yearly closing discipline.
The one idea to carry into every page
In MahirRMS the ledger is a consequence of operations, not a parallel activity. Selling posts revenue; closing a register posts cash custody; the day close posts consumption. Manual vouchers exist for the genuinely manual — rent, salaries, corrections — and everything else writes itself. When a number looks wrong, the question is almost never "was it entered wrong?" but "which operation produced it?" — and the drill-down will show you exactly which one.
