Suppliers
A supplier in MahirRMS is a full trading partner record, not a name on an invoice.
The supplier record
Business and contact-person names, an auto-generated supplier code, category, tax number, addresses and phone numbers — plus the commercially meaningful fields: payment terms (days or months, used to judge which invoices are overdue), credit limit and a separate monthly credit limit, an assigned branch, and active/inactive status. Suppliers can be marked blacklisted when a relationship ends badly — the record stays, the warnings show.
Dues, advances, and where they come from
The supplier list computes its money columns live from transactions — nothing is a manually maintained balance:
- Due — purchases minus payments: what you owe.
- Return due — what returns entitle you to collect back.
- Advance balance — money you've paid beyond invoices (deliberately, or as overpayment), consumable by future purchases.

The supplier statement
The supplier ledger is a running statement: purchases, returns, payments, balance after each — for any date range, printable to PDF and emailable to the supplier directly, which ends most "our records show" phone calls. A payable-status report summarizes across suppliers for the weekly cash planning pass.
Paying suppliers
Three paths, by situation:
- Against one invoice — the everyday payment, with method, account, date and an attached proof if you keep them.
- Lump sum against the supplier — pay an amount, let it settle dues; overpayment becomes advance balance.
- Invoice-wise allocation — see the supplier's open invoices oldest-first with due amounts, and split one payment across them precisely. The right tool when the supplier's statement and yours must match line by line.
Credit limits are informational guards, not hard blocks — watch the due column against the limit in the supplier list as part of the payables routine, not as an enforcement you can lean on.
