Business Profile
The business profile is filled once and read everywhere: invoices, reports, customer receipts and system emails all draw from it. Get it right before the first sale — several of these values are awkward to change after real trading starts.
Identity and branding
Business name, logo and contact details as they should appear on receipts and reports. Branches inherit the business identity; a branch can carry its own address and phone for its receipts.
Currency and taxes
The business currency applies to everything. Tax handling covers the standard sales tax/VAT rate applied to orders, with per-order-type behaviour where your jurisdiction taxes dine-in and delivery differently. If your branch charges manual VAT adjustments at the POS (special cases, platform orders), that switch — and the authorization guarding it — lives in POS Settings.
Business email addresses
Two kinds of addresses matter and they serve different purposes:
- Business emails — the operational inbox(es) that receive system notifications, including day-close consumption failure reports.
- Audit email — where override and exception reports go: when a manager closes a day without finished consumption, the full story is mailed here. An unset audit address means 3 a.m. problems wait for 9 a.m. discovery.
Financial basics
The costing method (FIFO, LIFO or weighted average) and the accounting-side configuration are covered in Accounting Settings — they're profile-level decisions, listed here so you know they exist before the first purchase is entered.
Changing identity later is cosmetic; changing financial basics later is not. Currency, taxes and costing method should be treated as fixed once trading starts — talk to support if one genuinely must change.
