Finding Your Way Around

Two bars run across the top of every screen: the top bar (context and account) and the main menu (the modules). This page walks the controls that aren't a module of their own.

The top bar, left to right

  • Branch selector — switches the outlet you are working in. This rebuilds your whole session for the new branch — its registers, permissions and settings — so the page reloads.
  • Brand selector — in multi-brand businesses, filters the workspace to one brand.
  • Financial year selector — chooses the accounting year your entries and reports apply to; closed years are labelled. See Financial Year.
  • Shift — the day's open/close lives here: the Day | Shift Open / Close action (it flips depending on state), a Last Closing at… line so you always know where the last day ended, and Cash Handover for passing the till between custodians. The full ritual is covered in Day Close.
  • POS shortcuts — on selling screens: keyboard-shortcut help, the waiter app QR Code, and quick Add Expense / Expense List for petty cash.
  • Notifications bell — the What's New feed: release notes for the system, newest first; the badge clears once you've looked.
  • Theme — Default, Material or Dark, remembered per user.
  • Options (top bar) — personal workspace choices: your POS Layout, your Navigation Layout (top menu vs left sidebar), and quick-create shortcuts (add staff, add expense head).

The user menu (far right)

Under your name: My Profile (name, password, picture), Language, and Refresh Session — the one to press when an administrator has just changed your permissions and you want them live without logging out. It also carries the master-data submenus:

  • Customers — customers, customer groups, the loyalty program, third-party customers and integrations.
  • Suppliers — suppliers and supplier categories.
  • Settings — the business-wide configuration screen (see Core Settings).
  • Options — a long list of small masters: tax rates, payment methods, shifts, delivery areas and charges, discounts and vouchers, banks, users, kitchen assignment, menu translations, invoice numbering schemes, notification templates, selling price groups and the QR digital menu.
  • Printers, Import Samples (downloadable spreadsheet templates for menu, units, ingredients, recipes, customers and more), Roles, and Logout.

The Options menu (main menu)

The Options item in the main menu is the operational odds-and-ends drawer:

The Options menu

  • Table & Reservations — table categories, the table list, assigning tables, reservations and their status board.
  • Customer Care — customer complaints, logged and tracked.
  • Customers — the same customer masters as the user menu, one click nearer.
  • Discounts — banking (card-promotion) discounts.
  • Business — the business Settings, your Branches, and Delivery Zones.
  • App Settings — configuration for the customer app channel.
  • Audit — the trust screens: Customer Order Audit, the Activity Log (who changed what), and the Day Close Log.

If you can't find a screen, it is almost always in one of these two Options menus — the main-menu one for operational lists, the user-menu one for masters and configuration.
