Personal Data
Restaurants hold personal data lightly but genuinely: customer names, phone numbers, delivery addresses, order histories. This page is the honest statement of how MahirRMS handles it.
What is collected
Customers who order for delivery or join loyalty programs have their contact details and addresses stored; walk-in cash sales store nothing personal. Staff records hold the employment details entered when adding users.
Removal requests
A customer may request removal of their personal data. MahirRMS provides a data removal request form for exactly this; requests are processed against the businesses holding the data.
What removal means — and what is retained
Removal erases the personal identifiers: name, contact details, addresses. It does not erase financial history — invoices, payments and ledger entries are legal records the business is obliged to retain, and they survive with the personal identifiers detached. This is the standard resolution of the privacy/bookkeeping tension: the person becomes anonymous; the numbers stay true.
For business owners: collect what serves the customer (delivery needs an address; a dine-in receipt does not need a phone number) and let the retention rules of your jurisdiction — not habit — decide how long exported files containing customer data live on your own laptops.
