Food Timing & Availability
Not everything on the menu is served all day. Food Timing (opened from the Food Items tab) restricts items to the windows you serve them in, and the POS and online channels hide or refuse them outside those windows.
Time-slot sets
An item's timing is a set of start–end slots, not a single window. A breakfast deal that also runs at dinner gets two rows — 7:00–11:00 AM and 6:30–9:00 PM — on one item. Overnight windows are fully supported: a late-night menu slot of 10:00 PM–2:00 AM spans midnight and behaves as one window.
Editing works on the whole set: pick the item (or several items at once), lay out the rows, save — the saved set replaces the item's previous timings, so there are never stale leftovers. Timings are kept per variant, and edits are made on the main branch like the rest of the menu.
The timing list shows each slot with a live Available now / Off hours badge in your 12/24-hour format, so you can verify at a glance that the windows do what you meant.
The other availability switches
Timing is one of several gates an item passes before it can be sold; they compose, and the strictest one wins:
| Switch | Where | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Not for sale | item or variant | never sellable, anywhere |
| Allowed order types | item | sellable only on those channels |
| Locations | item (location-wise businesses) | sellable only at assigned branches |
| Available for online ordering | item and category | shown to the website / customer app |
| Offer window | item | offer pricing only between its start and end time |
| Food timing | item + variant | sellable only inside its slots |
When an item mysteriously "isn't on the POS", walk this table top to bottom — one of these switches is the reason.
